Installation Instructions

The installation process will ask you where you want the program to be installed.  It will be installed to the directory (folder) named c:\program files\child support  unless you tell it differently.
Read this: If you have an existing version of this program which is located somewhere else on your hard disk, it will be up to you to know where that is. The install process does not look for prior versions of the program.  Note:  The prior version was set to install the program to: c:\support without the "program files" part.  You can install it there if you wish, but to do so you will need to instruct the setup process to change its installation location to c:\support.   The better solution is to install this program to c:\program files\child support and then bring your old client data files over to this new folder.

When finished, you should have:
1. A new folder in Program Files called Child Support which contains all of the Child Support Guidelines program files.
2. A red and white icon on your desktop from which you can run the program.
3. A new entry on your Start Menu from which you can run the program and access the program's instructions (in Adobe Acrobat  format.)

If you are licensed for multiple installations, you can create additional occurrences of the program  by copying  LegalMathSetup2004.exe  to a properly labeled and dated CD.  Then use that CD to install the program to other locations.

New Customers: Before using the program, if you have not already done so, you will need to pay (or arrange to pay) for the program. At that time you can obtain an "Activation Code" in order to activate the program. You can pay for the program using a credit card and get an Activation Code through this web site.

After downloading the Child Support program setup file, please copy ("burn") the setup file to a properly labeled CD.  Put the CD and the Activation Code information where you can find both later in the event you need to re-install the program some time in the future.
