A computer program designed to easily print a single shipping label or a single envelope from your own stored list of names.

What is it?
  • Label Program will print a single shipping label or a single envelope from your own stored list of names.

  • This program lets you pick the position of the address label to be printed. Simply click the desired label position using a graphical representation of a sheet of labels.  Then click "Print One" (see image below).
  • The program will also print a full sheet of labels for a single name

  • The program will also print multiple labels for a selected group of names.

  • Names can be sorted or categorically filtered.  Labels can then be printed for each name in the sorted or filtered list.

  • The difference between this program and other programs: This program doesn't try to do everything.  It just prints address labels and envelopes - but it does them quickly, easily and right.

Who needs it?

  • This program is for every small volume mailer and shipper who ever used clear tape to attach an envelope to the outside of a package or to the outside of a larger envelope that was too large to fit into the typewriter.  [You know who you are.]

  • This program is for all those who keep a typewriter nearby solely for the purpose of preparing a single shipping label.

  • And finally, this program is for those who are tired of selecting between a CD label and a shipping label  -- and then having to find their label size on a list of 100 different sizes -- just to send a small box or to send a 10" by 13" envelope via Fed-X, UPS or US Mail.

Try using one of those other brands!

  • It's no secret that the world's leading word processing programs have the ability to print single labels and envelopes.  Maybe they even  print a separate label for names in a data base.  But just try figuring out how to do so when all you want is to get that single package or letter out the door.

  • It's no secret that several popular brand label companies have their own software for printing labels.  But those programs seem to print every kind, size and shape of label (and envelope) ever invented.  But just try printing one regular shipping label (or one regular size envelope) without looking at a dozen help screens and making a dozen choices about label size and style.

Details:

1. Print one label to a selected position on a sheet of 6 or a sheet of 14 labels.  Then save that name and address for future use.

2. Print a full sheet of labels, each having the same name and address. (Use a sheet of 6, 14 or 30 labels.)

3. Print full sheets of labels for each name on your list of names. [Use sheets of 6, 14 or 30 labels.)

4. Code each name with one or two different text codes.  Select the codes from a list of 21 different codes.  [You can create this list yourself on a screen available from the Settings menu.]

5. Print full sheets of separate labels for each name on your list of names that meets your requirements.  [e.g. (i) print label for everyone coded to be on your Christmas Card list, (ii) print a label for everyone coded as being in your  homeowner's association].  [See Filter button in image below.]

6. Add a short message to your label for special delivery instructions. (e.g. "Please leave with neighbor to the west at 2295 if not home") [See "Put note on label" button in image below.]

7. Add names to your personal list of frequently used names.  Then you won't need to search for these names each time they are used.  [See drop down box with green (+) and red (-) buttons in image below.]

8. Select font style and font size for printing addresses.

9. Print with or without a return address (for use with pre-printed labels and envelopes).

10. Print using casual first name or formal first name.  [See "Print using Casual Name" check box in image below.]

11. Set your own default city, state and zip code so you don't need to type this information for every new name.

The screen below is the screen where you tell the program which names to use when you don't want to use all of the names on your list.
With the Filter set as shown, you would get a sub-list of all names marked or coded as "Friends" who live in California.
