Colorado
Financial Affidavit
(Version 2006 - for Windows XP and
Vista)
Note: Colorado
Financial Affidavit Version 2006 customers should check
back with the web site every few months to see if there
are any fixes or changes that need to be made. Once you have purchased Version 2006,
you will be able to use the
Customer Support Page
to obtain a replacement (or "same version update") file of Version 2006.
There will be no charge for this replacement. You
will be able to do this for as long as Version 2006 is
the current version. (No fixes or changes - other
than a revision to make the program Vista compatible -
have been made since August 27, 2006.)
If substantial changes are
made to Version 2006 we will be giving it a new Version
number. At that time an update purchase of the
newer Version would be required, although we will try to
keep any prior version available for those who do not
want to pay for a new Version update.
The Customer Support Page explains how to get a replacement
Version 2006.
Version 2006 is a Windows XP/Vista
program to prepare a Financial Affidavit for a
Colorado Dissolution of Marriage case.
It reflects changes to Colorado "JDF
1111" which is fully effective August 1,
2006.

More
info ....
-
Aside from being a “Windows” program, the
program incorporates most of the functional
changes that customers have requested over
the years. The most significant change
is . the fact that the program prepares
and prints the Affidavit in the new format
required by Rule 16]
Other features:
-
The program
allows you to add and list an unlimited
number of assets in each asset category -
causing the Affidavit form to "grow" rather
than forcing you to add "Supplemental
Schedules" at the end.
-
The
program frees you from having to worry about
managing the new Court required form.
You furnish the information in easy to
navigate data entry screens. The
program then "paints" your Affidavit using
the information you have furnished. A
sample of what the finished product looks
like is available here.
-
The program lets you create your own
re-usable lists for so called “other” income
sources, income deductions and miscellaneous
expenses.
-
The program
has a
flexible caption required on all
Colorado Court pleadings. The caption
can be customized to fit your case. (i.e.
Child Support Enforcement or Paternity
cases)
-
There is a
spreadsheet that allows you to analyze how
marital property should be divided.
-
The program
includes Child Support Guidelines
information sheet that is part of the new
Rule 16 form. (This form will be
optional when it comes time to print the
Affidavit.) (This is
not the Child Support Guidelines program)
-
The program
has improved flexibility for customizing how
your Affidavit will be assembled. You
will be able to print just Income and
Expenses or just Asset Schedules, or both.
There is an option to put the Oath on a
separate page.
-
A
check list or “Problem Report” is available.
This is a list of “missing” or “unknown”
information needed in order to complete an
Affidavit. (very cool)
-
All client data is stored in a single
“data base” file, however the ability to
move a client case file from one to computer
to another is much improved.
-
With Adobe Acrobat, an Affidavit can easily
be electronically filed.
-
The program is fully network capable.
-
The program can also be shipped on an easy to install
CD.
-
A user
friendly Questionnaire is included
with the program. -- There are two versions of the questionnaire. One is an Adobe Acrobat
file and the other is an Excel spreadsheet file.
With the the Excel spreadsheet you
can send
a Questionnaire to a client to have the client fill in the
information and send it back you, all via
email. (The Excel file will not work with
the Microsoft Works Spreadsheet program.
Only with Excel.) To use
the Adobe Acrobat file, you will have
to print it and send it, or send it and have
your client print it.
