Download the
program setup file
(This is the file you will need to install the program.
This file is
named: AffidavitSetup2006.exe)
If you have
purchased a multi-computer license, after
downloading, you can create additional occurrences of the program by
copying AffidavitSetup2006.exe to a USB "memory stick" or to
a CD. Then use the memory stick or CD to install the program to other
locations.
When prompted in the download process, specify that you want
to
"Save this Program to Disk" or
"Save" or
"Download File"
Specify a download location that you can find or remember,
Specify: Desktop (best)
or
c:\my docments (second
best) or
c:\my downloaded files or
c:\windows\temp
Read this:
Pay attention before telling your browser to
save or download. You must be sure to remember and be able to find the
location on your hard disk to which the downloaded file will be saved.
Downloading will save the compressed file, AffidavitSetup2006.exe to your hard disk.
Once the file AffidavitSetup2006.exe
has been downloaded and saved, you must run ("execute")
the file.
If you specified that the downloaded file should be saved
to your "desktop", there will be a new icon on your desktop.
To run the setup process, double click this new icon.
If you did not
save the file to your Windows Desktop you
will need to "go to" the location where you saved the file and
then run it from wherever it is
found. The best place from which to do this is from Start/Run in the
lower left corner of the desktop. Left click START Then
left click RUN Then
from the RUN dialog
box click "Browse" to locate and highlight the file AffidavitSetup2006.exe Then
click OPEN. Then Click OK The installation process
will extract all program files and then give you the option to
install the program.
The installation
process will ask you where you want the program to be installed. It
will be installed to the directory (folder) named c:\program
files\affidavit unless you tell it
differently.
[Note:
The default folder to which we suggest you install this program is the same
folder to which we suggested you install the prior version of the program.
If you will trust us on this, by installing this program to the same
place as you installed the prior version, (1) all of your client data files
from the prior version will be transferred over and immediately available to
this new version, and (2) you will still be able to run the prior version if
you decide you want to do so.
If you have an existing version of this program which is located
somewhere else on your hard disk, it will be up to you to know where that
is. The install process does not look for prior versions of the program
unless the prior version is in the same folder as this new version.
When finished, you
should have:
1. A new folder under c:\Program Files called Affidavit
which contains all program files.
2. A new "Affidavit 2006" icon
on your desktop
from which you can run the program.
3. A new entry on your Start Menu from
which you can run the program and access the program's instructions
and it's Questionnaire.
If you have purchased a multi-computer license,

Before using the program you will need to pay
(or arrange to pay) for the program. At that
time you can obtain an "Activation Code"
from Custom Legal Software (303-443-2634) in
order to activate the program. You can also make a
