This is the place to change your customer name or firm name and obtain the new activation codes associated with those changes.

This is also the place to obtain a replacement activation codes for all of the programs you already own.

In order to protect against unauthorized use of our programs, Custom Legal Software uses activation codes (once known as passwords).  These activation codes are linked to a licensed name which is derived from the customer information we have on file for you. You will be given the licensed name when you receive your activation codes.

Your licensed name is printed on all program generated documents -- either in the caption of the document or at the bottom of the document on a line that reads something like "Prepared by [licensed name]"

With your licensed name and activation code in hand, run your program.  If performing a fresh installation, you will be prompted to furnish the licensed name and activation code.  If using a new code to change the licensed name, use the menus or links within your program to "change licensed name" or "change registered name".  This will usually be found under a menu item titled "Registered Owner" or "Settings" or "Activation Code."  Not all programs are alike, but the method of changing a name will be easy to find.

There is a $5 charge associated with using this web service enabling you to obtain a new or replacement activation codes.

Why do you need to pay just to get a copy of your activation code?  There are substantial costs associated with (1) maintaining the program, (2) maintaining a personal presence to answer all your questions and (3) creating and maintaining this internet service that automates the process of getting a new activation code.   The $5 charge helps to offset the cost of providing this service.   Remember:  (Think of this as being similar to getting new stationery or a new sign for the door.  And probably much less expensive, too.)

Here's what will happen next.

1. You will first be asked to provide information that will enable us to find you in our database.  

2. You will then have the opportunity to change the customer information we have on file for you.  

3. After payment by credit card, you will be given the activation code for each program you own. If the version of any program is older than the 2004 version, your activation code for that program will be sent via email to the email address we have on file. For programs which are Version 2004 or later your activation code will be shown on a web page which can then be printed.

(Note:  Do not use this process if you are using Windows Vista and you are looking for your code for any version of Legal Math older than Version 2007.  Earlier versions of Legal Math will not work in Windows Vista, and paying to obtain a copy of the number for your older version will not be a good use of your time or money.  An update to Legal Math Version 2007 is available from this web site.)
