The name of the file you will be downloading is
ChildSupportSetup2008.exe
To use this updated Windows Vista compatible program you
must have purchased,
as a "new user" or as an
"updating" customer. Before proceeding, be sure you have the
proper Activation Code for Version 2008. The Code is different than the one you
may now
have for Version 2007, Version 2005 or Version 2003.)
Instructions for Downloading Program Setup File
When you begin the download process above, a dialog box
will appear.
When prompted in the download process, it is suggested that you specify that you want
to
"Open" or "Run" the setup file
A compressed file named
ChildSupportSetup2008.exe will be downloaded to a temporary location on
you hard disk drive.
When fully downloaded, the program Setup file
will be automatically activated and walk you through the installation process.
The installation
process will ask you where you want the program to be installed. It
will be installed to the directory (folder) named c:\program files\child support unless you tell it
differently.
[Note: You can
install the program to some other folder if you if you wish. However,
unless you have strong reasons for doing so, please install the program to
the default location mentioned above.
When finished, you
should have:
1. A new folder called c:\program files\support
which contains all program files.
2. A new folder called My Documents\Child Support User Files
which contains client data and program setting files
3. A red and white icon
on your desktop
from which you can run the program.
4. A new entry on your Start Menu from
which you can run the program and access the program's instructions
(Instructions require Adobe Acrobat.)
Multiple Installations
If you have purchased a multi-computer license,
you can create additional occurrences of the program by downloading the
program setup file to a second or additional computer. To do so,
return to the web site from the second or additional computer. You
will need to start at the web site's Customer Support page where you will find a link
that returns you to this web site page where you can download the setup file.
Alternatively, if you have purchased a multi-computer license,
after downloading, you can create additional occurrences of the program by
copying ChildSupportSetup2008.exe to a USB "memory stick" or to
a CD. Then use the memory stick or CD to install the program to other
locations.
New Customers:
Before using the program, if you have not already done so, you will need to pay
(or arrange to pay) for the program. At that
time you can obtain an "Activation Code"
in
order to activate the program. You can pay for the program
using a credit card and get an Activation Code through this
web site.
